SUPPORT AND PARTICIPATE

If the AFAR project is something you might like to get more involved in, there are many ways to support and indeed participate in its development and exploration, whether by organising an event, talk or film screening for example (see below), or by sponsoring the work itself in some way. All contributions – in whatever form – help keep this project alive and are recognised with unique collaborations and rewards: simply get in touch and we’ll take it from there together.

ORGANISING EVENTS, SCREENINGS OR TALKS

The AFAR project has already been presented in a number of formats all around Europe, including book readings, film screenings, talks, lectures and seminars. Below is a list of the kinds of events currently available, but any other suggestions are always most welcome too of course. All events can be tailored depending on the circumstances: just email and we'll see what might be most interesting and appropriate for everyone.

BERTH SONGS Presentation

A presentation and discussion of the new project Berth Songs, detailing the recent journey from Mesopotamia to the Atlantic with a variety of audio-visual previews of the work itself.

THE NEW WILD Public Screening

A public screening of the feature-length documentary The New Wild. All materials necessary for the event will be provided in advance, including publicity and press material as well as the film itself of course.

THE NEW WILD Public Screening with the Director

A public screening of the feature-length documentary The New Wild with an introduction by the director as well as a Q&A session afterwards to discuss the topic with the public. All materials necessary for the event will be provided in advance, including publicity and press material as well as the film itself of course.

Lecture / Seminar / Presentation

A presentation and discussion of the AFAR project as a whole (or one specific work, as preferred), including film screenings, book readings, and other audio-visual material. This could could take the form of a lecture or a more discursive seminar, or it could even be conducted as an informal presentation, public or private.
